WhiteBeard Sculpt Done

Well my White beard Sculpt is done I well I've enjoyed ever second of it :3. learnt new brush techniques  such as the slice_2 brush, clay tubes and many more I'm pretty pleased with the over all result however the beard had to be adjusted in photo shop to give it that realistic look i was going for. The skin texture came out fantastic I didn't imagine it would turn out like that maybe some more experiments in the future will make my future work more awesome. I have placed it on Game artisan just to see how the reactions proceeds :T some of the more wip shots. till next time take care

WhiteBeard Sculpt Wip

This Piece of work has been on my mind for a while now after seeing a piece of work done by Hansen Huang I wanted to do something along the lines. so I choose WhiteBeard a well know character in an anime called One Piece, having recently passed away within the story i thought it would be an interesting character to sculpt as he is a cartoon character, transforming him in to a realistic looking character should be fun. So far the front is starting to go in the direction i intended however the side profile has given much trouble. I do intend to use the final image as my main sculpt link for my site as it is the latest work in which i would like to show. below is an image of the character.

So with the pre-dominance war over with its few hic-ups here and there I overall decided to scrap the monster/mech as I wasn't ever happy with it with the poly count limit. So I choose to use the female warrior as the main aspect and gave hew some new weapons to play with, a sword and a arm blaster, I had hoped to maybe develop more with my textureing but still feel I've learnt a lot in terms of styles and ways to implement them onto the model. having to redo most parts like the uvs and rigs it allowed me to rethink how to do these task again which is always best for the learning experience. While the main event is being setup ready for the new year, I will be sorting out my new site and some new content which i will post here.

Pre-Dominance War Is Over For Me Any Ways

So the pre dominance character for 2010 is done, it feels good to have finished my model. Having done this project it has allowed me to see places where I need improve in such as the hand painted texturing process, and overall design prospective. I do not intend to win as much just that i have passed to finished line with every one else, so many great entries on the forums. I the most favourite one are from Deathperado, Draxxuss and Erigo which are awesome with speed and high level of detail, wish I could of been there while it was getting produced. I Think i could of learnt so much from these people. So now i have roughly under a month until the main event in January i think, so in the mean time i will be creating another character from my choices in this pre- war and see what i can do from there. but really i need a mouse that has that clicking sound not sure why but all well :T.
